Today's Scripture:
Christ accepted you, so you should accept each other, which will bring glory to God.
Romans 15:7
When you look at the young woman, she sparkles. At twenty-nine years old, she is a beautiful woman who loves God. You might be surprised to learn she wasn't always that way. When she was a teenager and college-age, she frustrated most of the people who knew her and cared for her by her determination to wall on the wild side of life. Drugs...promiscuity...she kept getting deeper and deeper.
"For the longest time, I referred to her as a prodigal," says one of the women who works with and loves this young lady. "Then God urged me to see her as his child instead of as a prodigal rebel. That made all the difference. I started seeing her as he did - a lovely child of God with promise and purpose. I still had to give her some doses of tough love, but I began to look beyond that stage and to picture her as the finished product, a woman after God's own heart. When I decided to do that, I stopped panicking and being depressed when I thought about her."
You may not have a prodigal teen or a fallen friend in your life, but most women at some time or another encounter someone who is a little difficult to deal with or is hard to like. Come on ladies be honest...this is the preacher talking to you and you know just who I'm speaking of. It is sometimes tough to know what to do about these people. Romans 15:7 encourages you and I to accept others.
When you're dealing with a difficult person, ask God to help you see them as He sees the person.
Try to see them as if you were looking through God's eyes. He has a plan for that person's life and is still working on them.
Selah people' and friends get in the habit of looking at others you know as masterpieces in the making. Imagine the wonderful things that God will do through them.
"Open your eyes to what God will show you in other people today...remember we are all his children."
