April 29, 2011 ~ Just Agree with God!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"As it is written: 'I have made you a father of many nations.' He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed — the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not"

Romans 4:17

TODAY'S WORD:

Twenty years before Abraham ever had a child, God said to him, "Abraham, I have made you a father of many nations." Notice God spoke to him like it had already happened, in the past tense. I'm sure Abraham thought, "God, you must have made a mistake. I'm not a father. I don't even have one child." Abraham could have talked himself out of it; but instead, he chose to believe.

Today, as you read these words you may be thinking, "Patrick, I'm not blessed. I'm not confident. I'm not healthy. I'm not favored." But when God says you're blessed, don't try to figure it out. Just agree with God and say, "I am blessed." When God calls you prosperous, don't go check your bank account. Don't go look at the stock report. Just agree with God and say, "I am prosperous." Things may look impossible. That's all right. That's the way things looked for Abraham. But sure enough, God's promises came to pass, and he became the father of many nations.

Selah people' and friends remember, when you agree with God, you are positioning yourself for a miracle. You are activating His truth in your life. When things look difficult, don't agree with your circumstances, agree with His promises because He is faithful, and He will complete what He's started in your life!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, I bless You and thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I receive Your promises as truth, no matter what is going on around me. Fill me with joy and peace as I hold fast to Your promises for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 27, 2011 ~ Already Blessed!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ"

Ephesians 1:3

TODAY'S WORD:

God has blessed you! Past tense — He's already done it! Now, you may not feel blessed, you may not look blessed; in fact, all the circumstances may tell you that you're not blessed. But you've got to be bold enough to say, "No, I see it right here in God's Word — I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ!"

What does it mean to be blessed? It means that you are supernaturally empowered to do whatever God has called you to do; to be whoever God has called you to be; and to have whatever God has called you to have. God's blessing is His empowerment! The key is this: you have to believe it in order to receive it. You can't walk around in guilt and condemnation from the past thinking you can't do anything right and expect to keep moving forward.

Selah people' and friends you have to shake off those old mindsets by declaring God's truth over your life. Truth sets you free. When you speak God's truth that you are blessed, you will be free to believe it and free to receive it! Today, take hold of what belongs to you. When God gives us reminders through a kind word from a friend, family member or even a stranger remember you are blessed. If you see rainbows in the sky remember His blessing for you. Approach each day with an attitude of faith and victory knowing that you are already blessed!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for blessing me with everything I need to be successful in this life. I receive Your Word today which is truth and life to my soul. Help me keep my mind stayed on You as I meditate on Your goodness. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Your Brother In Christ,

Patrick

April 26, 2011 ~ Seeing Potential in Others...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"...Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out"

Ephesians 6:18

TODAY'S WORD:

It's easy to be someone's friend when they've got it all together, when they're walking in blessing and prosperity. Anybody can believe in people after they're successful, after they graduate, after they're promoted, after they get their big break. But, people need our support the most before they get their breakthrough. They need us to look past their faults and failures and see their potential. At the close of every worship service we share the word on our screen "Come as you are…leave better". We need to learn as Christian brothers and sister to truly be there for one another.

Most times, people just need a little "push" of encouragement to keep them moving forward. We should always put ourselves in the other person's shoes and see things from their perspective. You may have some good advice that could save them a lot of heartache and pain. Don't keep it to yourself. Pick up the phone. Help them win. Maybe you excelled in a college course that they're struggling in. Don't sit back and think, "Too bad. They've got to learn it the hard way." No, you are the hands and feet of Jesus. When you help others rise higher, you are fulfilling His mission.

Selah people' and friends today, share your love, support and encouragement. Invest life in others, see their potential, and together, you'll rise higher into the blessing God has for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for giving me influence with the people in my life. Thank You for equipping me to help others rise higher. Reveal to me the potential You have deposited in the people around me and show me ways to help them so we can win at life together. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 25, 2011 ~ Let God Arise...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered..."

Psalm 68:1

TODAY'S WORD:

Let me ask you today, what are you letting arise in your life? In other words, what are you focusing your words, energy and thoughts on? You might say, "Oh, Patrick, it's just so hard right now. I've lost some money." "My health doesn't look good." "Somebody walked out on me, my friends have all but forsaken me." No, you're focusing on the wrong things. You're letting defeat, discouragement and self-pity rise up. Why don't you turn that around and say, "God is still in control. Somebody may have walked out on me, but I know God is going to bring me somebody better." "I may be hurting right now, but I know God is the restorer of my soul." "I may have lost money in the stock market, or be in some other kind of financial demand, or a relationship that feels like it is coming up short in all ways possible but I'm not worried. I know God is my provider. He is supplying all of my needs. He is fighting my battles and mending all of my fences."

Selah people' and friends when you start giving God glory and letting Him arise in your life, you can't stay defeated. Your enemies will be scattered! They'll tremble at your words of faith. Begin right now by declaring God's goodness in your life and let Him arise so that you can move forward in the victory He has for you.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father in heaven, I repent right now for allowing any negative, self-defeating thoughts or attitudes rise up in my life. You alone are my God, and I put my trust in You. I bless You today and always and choose to look for the good things You have for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 23, 2011 ~ He is Risen!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"…He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen…"

Matthew 28:6

TODAY'S WORD:

We have a reason to celebrate today because we serve a God who is alive and filled with resurrection power! Not only did He resurrect Jesus from the dead, but He wants to extend His resurrection power into every single area of your life, today!

Brothers and sisters maybe you have a dream to get out of debt, pay off your house or be free from that burden of lack; but it looks like it's impossible. Business is slow. The economy is down. You've gone as far as your education allows. But God is saying, "I'm not limited by those things. I've got resurrection power. I can give you one break that will thrust you to a new level. I can open up doors that no man can shut. I can bring talent out of you that you didn't know you had. I can cause people, for no reason, to go out of their way to want to be good to you."

Selah people' and friends your part is to keep believing today knowing that He wants to bring you into supernatural increase In God's time. Remember, He is risen, He is alive, and He is faithful to His Word. Trust Him today and let His resurrection power work in your life!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for Your resurrection power at work in my life. Today, I give You my broken dreams, disappointments, failures and setbacks and trust that You will breathe Your life into me. I trust that You have a good plan for my future and are leading me into total victory! In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 21, 2011 ~ Sunday is Coming...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures"

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

TODAY'S WORD:

As we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, I ask you to join me and think about when they crucified Jesus. On that Friday, it was the darkest, most painful, discouraging day of His life. In fact, it was so bad that He sweat drops of blood earlier. It looked as if His enemies had gotten the best of Him. But God had other plans. They put Him in the grave on Friday, celebrating their victory, but Sunday morning was a different story. The grave could not hold Him! Death couldn't contain Him! The forces of darkness couldn't stop Him! On the third day, He came out of the grave, and He said, "I was dead, but now I am alive forevermore!"

Selah people' and friends one principle that the resurrection teaches us is that God will always finish what He started. No matter how dark it looks, no matter how long it's been, no matter how many people are trying to push you down; if you will stay in faith, God will always take you from Friday to Sunday. He will always complete what He started in you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for completing what You started in my life. I trust that no matter how dark things may seem, You are my shining light of hope. I thank You for working behind the scenes to carry me through to the place of victory in every area of my life! In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 20, 2011 ~ Victory over Sin and Death...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ"

1 Corinthians 15:57

TODAY'S WORD:

This weekend, we will be celebrating Easter, the resurrection of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So much happened at Calvary's cross over two thousand years ago; but ultimately, Jesus overcame sin and death so that we could have abundant life! Because of Jesus, we have victory over anything that would try to hold us back!

No matter what bondage, stronghold, sin or addiction has held you captive in the past, when you receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you receive His power—His burden-moving, yoke-destroying anointing. Sin can't hold you back any longer because whom the Son sets free is free indeed! (See John 8:36)

Selah people' and friends it all starts by believing and receiving this promise. The more you meditate on His Word, the more of His power becomes activated in you. Today, know that you are free and you have victory! Receive this truth and let it lead you to transform your being from the inside out!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me victory! Thank You for Your Word which is life and healing water to my soul. I choose to set my heart and thoughts on You knowing that You are empowering me to overcome in every area of my life! In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 19, 2011 ~ It is Finished

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns"

Philippians 1:6

TODAY'S WORD:

It's interesting that the last thing Jesus said on the cross was "it is finished." It certainly looked like the end. It looked like it was over. But I believe that wasn't just a statement of fact; it was a statement of faith. He was saying to His Father, "I've done My part. I've fulfilled My destiny. Now I've got total trust and confidence in You that You are going to finish what You started." Even though it looked like the end, in reality, it was only the beginning.

Selah people' and friends when it looks dark in your own life and things aren't going your way, dare to make that declaration of faith just like Jesus. "It is finished." What you're really saying is "God, I know You are going to turn this situation around. I know You are going to heal my body. I know You are going to restore my family. I know You are going to give me the breaks that I need." Don't go around complaining. Speak victory over your circumstances. Trust that He is faithful and that He will complete what He's started in you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father in heaven, I thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I thank You that You will complete what You've started in my life. Today I choose to put my trust and hope in You knowing that You are working behind the scenes to bring victory to every area of my life! In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 18, 2011 ~ The Same Spirit

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you"

Romans 8:11

TODAY'S WORD:

When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit of God makes His home inside of you. That's the same Spirit, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. That resurrection power can bring back health, strength and life to your physical body, and it can bring back life to your hopes and dreams. It can help carry you through events and tragedy that we can't understand in our external material world. In fact, it can bring life to any area that may seem dormant on the inside of you.

Selah people' and friends the next time you feel overwhelmed by natural disaster, sickness, challenges or despair, remember, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. You may have been burdened by an addiction, fear or worry, but there's nothing that can stand against the power of God.

Rise up brothers and sisters and declare by faith, "He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. I am restored and healed in the name of Jesus! No weapon formed against me can prosper!" As you rise up in faith and declare the Word of God, you are activating His power within you, and you are moving forward in the victory He has for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father in heaven, thank You for filling me with Your power by the Holy Spirit. I choose to feed my faith by declaring Your Word over my life so that I can tap in to every blessing You have for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 15, 2011 ~ Press toward the Promise

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"...Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised"

Hebrews 6:12

TODAY'S WORD:

Are you facing a challenge today that seems overwhelming? Through faith and patience, you will see God's promises come to pass in your life.

Understand that the enemy always fights the hardest when he knows you are closest to your breakthrough. He'd leave you alone if he thought you were going to live in mediocrity. If you keep pressing on toward your promise, through faith and patience, you will get there. Don't be like the Israelites in the Old Testament who were right next to their promised land when they talked themselves out of it! They said, "There are giants in the land. It's too difficult." No, today, don't look at the obstacles in your life.

Selah people' and friends lift up your eyes because you serve a supernatural God! Follow the example of Abraham who believed God even when his circumstances looked impossible. Remember, God always rewards the people who seek after Him. Stand in faith and keep believing because God will take you places that you never dreamed. Keep pressing toward the promise so you can live in the supernatural victory He has prepared for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Join me now in sharing this prayer together: "Heavenly Father, I come to You today choosing to believe Your promises. Fill me with Your faith and patience to press through to victory. I give You all the glory. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 14, 2011 ~ A Supernatural Encounter

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord"

2 Corinthians 3:18

TODAY'S WORD:

One of the most amazing transformations in the Bible happened when Saul — former persecutor of Christians — encountered God on the road to Damascus (see Acts 9). After his encounter, he was so radically changed from the inside out that even his name was changed to Paul. He began preaching the gospel, and eventually, went on to write much of the New Testament.

When you have a supernatural encounter with Almighty God, something is going to happen. Something is going to be transformed inside of you and radiate out into every part of your being, affecting every part of your life!

Selah people' and friends today, I want to encourage you to prepare your heart to expect God's supernatural touch in your life. Open the eyes of your heart to Him. I pray that you experience God in such a way that every bondage is broken off of your life, and you are forever changed by a supernatural encounter with Him! Don't try to be what the world wants you to be or what others try to make you be. Instead strive to be His creation beautifully and wonderfully made.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, right now I invite You to transform me into Your image. Search my heart and mind and remove anything that is displeasing to You. Show me Your glory. Reveal Yourself to me as I keep my heart and mind focused on You. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 13, 2011 ~ By His Divine Power...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence"

2 Peter 1:3

TODAY'S WORD:

Whether you realize it or not, God has already given you everything you need to live the life He's called you to. You don't need to feel stressed out, worried or afraid. You don't have to wonder if you're "good enough" to receive from God because God's blessing has nothing to do with your performance. He has already blessed you and given you everything you need by His divine power!

The world's system tells us to strive, toil and scrape to get what we want. Our culture puts limits on people because of their natural abilities, resources, background, gender, size, strength or circumstances. But with God, there are no limits! By His divine power, you are equipped, well able and strong. You are covered by His grace and mercy, and you are empowered to do all He has called you to do! Nothing about you is too small or inferior when you serve God He will give you more than enough to bring down the giant you are facing today.

Selah people' and friends the next time you start thinking "I can't..." or "I don't have what it takes...," attack those negative thoughts with the truth by declaring, "I have what it takes; I am well able; and I am equipped by His divine power at work in me!"

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for Your power which is at work in me. Thank You for equipping me and calling me according to Your good purpose. Give me Your strength and peace today. I keep my mind stayed on You. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

April 12, 2011 ~ The Supernatural in You!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you"

Romans 8:11

TODAY'S WORD:

We serve a supernatural God! He is not limited by anything or anyone. Today I'd like us to take a moment and remember as the scriptures shares that not only is our Lord and Savior "Super" but he wants to do us to live a wonderful and powerful life as well. He's ready to do the impossible in you, for you and through you!

Think about this for a moment: when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Spirit of God actually makes His home in you — the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead! That means that you have unlimited power, unlimited wisdom, unlimited ability, unlimited joy and unlimited peace living inside of you by the power of the Holy Spirit. As a believer, you have the unlimited, supernatural, living God inside of you!

Selah people' and friends let that sink down deep into your heart and soul. Let it restore confidence and strength to your being. Let it energize your thoughts and attitude today. As you meditate on Him and the vastness of His power inside of you, you will tap into that power more and more. Every day, you'll experience His supernatural increase as you put Him first — the Supernatural One living in you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, so that I can have eternal, abundant life in You. Thank You for choosing to make Your home in me and empowering me by Your Spirit. Father, give me Your wisdom and revelation so I can rise higher and embrace everything You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."
