August 25, 2009 ~ Becoming a Trusted Woman

How do you become one that others can trust?

Today's Scripture:

Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain.

Proverbs 31:10-11

Trust is an elusive thing. It's frustrating to try to regain some one's trust when you've lost it. Trust is a paramount issue of life. Without trust in its leaders, a nation sinks into civil war. Without trust in his parents, a child might go his own way and end up in great trouble. Without trust in your faith, you risk doubt. When you don't trust your spouse, you're worried and afraid. You are anxious that the marital relationship will be broken. Trust is vital.

Every woman wants her husband to trust her, to rely upon her as faithful and true. But such trust doesn't come easily.

How does a woman become trusted by the one who is nearest and dearest to her? Here are a few thoughts. One, she keeps her word. When she makes a promise, she fulfills it. Always. He husband know her word is good. Two, she is there when he needs her. When her husband is hurting, she is ready to listen as long as it takes, and she is ready to comfort him. When he's in trouble, she defends him. She is an ally. And three, she can be counted on. As they say, "When the chips are down, she's down there with him." She would never brush him off.

Selah people' and Friends do your best to keep the trust strong in your relationship. Then you'll enjoy one of God's greatest blessings on earth - a great marital relationship.

"May today be a day that we renew our goal to have others trust in us as we trust in Christ to give us all we need. Remember you are the only Christ and the only church some people will ever see."
