August 31, 2010 ~ Pulling Together!

Link to movie: http://pullingtogethermovie.com

Selah people' and friends,

I couldn't resist sharing this inspiring video shared by my friend Mac with SimpleTruths.com. Enjoy this word of encouragement that shares how we need to pull together to make reaching our destination easier. I also appreciate that when one of our team falls behind we stop and stay with them in there trouble. Jesus gave us this perfect example as our scripture shared in our sermon message at Selah this past Sunday. When Jesus stopped many were healed.

Join me as we continue to lift one another up along our journey we call life.

Patrick

August 31, 2010 ~ And God Said…

Have you heard God's word for you today?

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light"

Genesis 1:3

TODAY'S WORD:

When God commanded light to come forth, it came—at 186,000 miles per second! Friend, when God commands something, you can be sure that it's going to happen.

Just like He commanded the worlds to be formed, God has commanded that you be blessed. He has commanded that you prosper and increase. He has commanded that you be above only and not beneath. As a believer and follower of Jesus, you are called to be the head and not the tail. If you will get into agreement with God and not let other people or your own thoughts talk you out of it, then you will see this commanded blessing take you further than you ever thought possible.

Selah people' and friends today, set your heart and mind on His goodness. Believe that He is ready to take you places that you've never dreamed. Receive His promises because He is faithful. If God said it, He will do it! Get ready because He is pouring out His blessing on every area of your life!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness. Thank You for the power in Your Word to change my world. I choose to get into agreement with You and declare that Your will be done in my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

In Christ service,
Patrick

August 29, 2010 ~ Commanded Blessings...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God"

Deuteronomy 28:1-2

TODAY'S WORD:

There is a blessing that God has for every one of His children that will cause you to rise out of lack into abundance! It will take you from barely getting by to living in overflow. It brings supernatural increase! We were never created to drag through life constantly struggling.

If we're going to receive His blessings, we have to come into agreement with His Word in our minds, hearts and actions.

This commanded blessing is found in Deuteronomy 28. It tells us that if we will live a life that honors God and obey His Word, then all these blessings will chase us down and overtake us. It says that you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. God will open up to you His good treasury and cause you to lend and not borrow. He will make you plenteous in goods and give you a surplus of increase.

Selah people' and friends today, let this truth sink down into your spirit: the Creator of the universe has commanded blessing upon you. Receive it today and choose to walk in complete obedience to Him!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for Your commanded blessing. I receive Your truth today which sets me free. Help me, by Your Spirit, to follow Your commands so that I may live a life that is pleasing to You. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

In Christ service,
Patrick

August 28, 2010 ~ Seize The Moment...

Carpe Diem : Seize the Day!
Make your life count for what matters most...seizing every moment
and making the most of Life's God given opportunities.

Today's Scripture:

Be very careful how you live. Do not live like those who are not wise, but live wisely. Use every change you have for doing good, because these are evil times.

Ephesians 5: 15-16

Today's Word:

Life is filled with opportunities - and obstacles that can prevent you from grabbing hold of them. The secret to making the most of your life lies in making the most of your time.

The first three words hold the key: be very careful.

In the original language, this admonition is much stronger and fuller than what sounds here like a mother's passing comment to her children as they head outside to play. The words describe a way of living (or "walking" as the Bible often describes it) that is precise, accurate, and deliberate. It involves both forethought and heightened sense of awareness. It's similar to the way you drive a car. You need to be constantly attentive, responding appropriately to the ever-changing situations you find yourself in. You swerve to avoid hazards, brake for pedestrians, and follow the rules of the road. Your skill, knowledge, and vigilance help you make wise decisions at a moment's notice.

To live wisely you and I need to do the same thing. We need to face each day spiritually alert. We need to start recognizing evil, so that we can avoid it like a dangerous hazard in the road. At the same time, we need to be on the lookout for opportunities to show love to others and to God - and grab hold of them.

Last night my daughter went to church in Goldsboro with a friend and then a football game. While she was out Jennifer, my son Luke and I watched the movie "To Save A Life." I would say if you have not seen it check it out just note it is PG-13. This movie touches on how so many of us don't seize those opportunities to be there for others. We look back later with regret on our decisions, our sins that were either sins of commission or those of omission. Don't look back my friends with this regret but instead "Seize the moment!"

Selah people' and friends the "Good News" is that God is with you everywhere you go...yes even with that loud music or awkward off key singing He is in the car with you. His Spirit will help guide your daily journey toward a life full of well-utilized opportunities.

OUR CLOSING THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

"When you start your car, get on your bike, the bus or just walk out the door, recall the words from the book of Ephesians. They can be a reminder to keep your eyes open for opportunities for you to make a positive difference throughout your day. You never know the life you may save it may even be your own."

Patrick

August 27, 2010 ~ Crowned with Goodness

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"You crown the year with Your bounty and goodness…"

Psalm 65:11

TODAY'S WORD:

The Lord has crowned your year with bounty and goodness! That means there is an abundant supply for whatever you may need—spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially. He has also set up a system so that you can access His blessings. It's the system of seedtime and harvest. If you have a need in your life, sow a seed. For example, if you're lonely and need friends, sow a seed by being a friend to someone. If you have a financial need, pray and ask the Lord where you should sow a financial seed. The Bible says to give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. That's God crowning your year with bounty and goodness. Do you need mercy? Sow seeds of mercy. The more you sow, the more you will reap a harvest from God's abundant bounty.

Selah people' and friends remember, He's already crowned your year with His goodness. Take a step of faith today and believe that God is ready to pour out His abundant blessing on you all the days of your life.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, thank You for supplying all my needs according to Your riches in glory. I submit my resources to You today and ask You to show me where I can sow seeds and be a blessing to those around me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 25, 2010 ~ New Times and Seasons

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"He changes times and seasons..."

Daniel 2:21

TODAY'S WORD:
God is always looking to take us to higher levels. He wants us to grow and increase in every area. Change is often a catalyst for growth in our lives, and it keeps up from getting stuck in a rut. To help keep us on our path toward our destiny, God will supernaturally open and close doors of opportunity. He will "stir us" out of comfortable situations and stretch us because He loves us too much to allow us to live in mediocrity.

Do you know how an eaglet learns to fly? That mother eagle will take her eaglet to the very highest point—way out of its comfort zone—and then she just releases it. As the eaglet falls, the mother swoops down and picks it back up again. She does this over and over until the eaglet spreads its wings and soars through the air. I am reminded of this story of eagles as the new school year begins and we push our little ones off to school. We push them out not just for them to fall but so that they too can learn to soar.

Selah people' and friends that's what God wants for you today. He wants you to soar in life! You might feel like that eaglet learning to fly, but know that God is right there with you! He is bringing you new times and seasons so that you will rise higher and embrace the very best He has in store for you.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Dear God, today I open my heart and mind to receive all that You have for me. I trust that You are with me directing my every step. I embrace Your seasons of change and thank You for helping me grow and increase in every area. In Jesus' Name. Amen"

August 24, 2010 ~ Established in Love

Established in Love

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love"

Ephesians 3:17

TODAY'S WORD:

Did you know there is tremendous power in love? In the same way that a tree will grow taller and stronger when its roots grow deep, you will be stronger and rise higher when you are rooted and established in love.

How do you establish yourself in love? It starts with a choice. When you say "yes" to love, you are saying "yes" to everything God is because God is love! Then, choose to operate in love according to 1 Corinthians 13. That means being patient and kind. It means not seeking your own way, not being jealous or boastful. When you choose love instead of choosing your own way, you are showing the world that God is first place in your life. You are establishing yourself in love.

The more you choose to walk in love, the deeper and stronger your roots will grow.

Selah people' and friends remember, love is the greatest thing, and it is all that will last in eternity. Choose to establish yourself in love and let it be firm within you. Let His love build security in you and empower you to live the life of blessing He has in store for you.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, I choose to be established in Your love. Show me how to love others the way You love me. Thank You for setting me free and empowering me to live the good life You have prepared for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 23, 2010 ~ Blessed Wherever You Go!

Regardless if we come from city or country if we join together
and follow our Lord we will be blessed...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all His commands…you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country"

Deuteronomy 28:1-3

TODAY'S WORD:

Do you want to experience more of God's blessing in your life? Living in obedience and integrity is the key that unlocks the door to His abundance. When you put God and His Word first place in your life, the Bible says you'll be blessed in the city and in the country—you'll be blessed wherever you go!

This chapter in the Bible goes on to say that you will be so blessed that you will lend and not borrow. Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance?

See, God doesn't want you to be living with a barely-get-by attitude. We don't serve a barely-get-by God; our God is more than enough!

He wants you to have more than enough to meet your needs and be a blessing to the people around you.

Selah people' and friends I encourage you today to make room in your life for the blessing of God. Choose to live in obedience to His Word. Choose to follow His commands. As you do, you will rise up higher and live the abundant life God has for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father in heaven, thank You for Your hand of blessing on my life. I choose today to put You first in everything I do. Help me to walk in integrity and follow Your commands so that I can honor You always. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 22, 2010 ~ Find Peace Today

Do you have the peace of Christ just as one of God's children?

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You"

Isaiah 26:3

Do you need more peace in your life today? Are you frustrated or upset over something or fighting off discouragement? The first question to ask yourself is "What am I thinking about?"

If you're thinking about your problems all the time or how impossible everything is, then your life is going to follow that negative direction.

But, when you get your mind going in the right direction, when you focus your mind on the Word of God, then you are setting yourself in the direction of peace.

Selah people' and friends today, choose to keep your mind focused on the Father. Be empowered by meditating on His Word. As you set your thoughts in the right direction, your life will head down the path of peace and victory He has in store for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, thank You for peace today. I receive it as a comforting blanket to my heart, my mind and my emotions. I choose to focus on Your Word today. Direct my steps and guard me by Your peace. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 20, 2010 ~ Let Your Love Grow

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing"

2 Thessalonians 1:3

TODAY'S WORD:

God's desire is to see you grow and increase in every area of your life—especially in your love for others. That's because love is the greatest thing, and it is all that matters in eternity. Brother Leland Heath shared in our last night of revival at Selah last night: "that we will all have everlasting life, the question is where are you going to spend it?"

The book, Love at Last Sight: 30 days to Grow and Deepen Your Closest Relationships by Pastors Kerry and Chris Shook, sums it up perfectly.

It says, "At the end of the day—in this all-too-short life we all share, all we really have are relationships with people we love and who love us. In light of relationships, the job and career we set as goals now aren't really so important; the ladders we try to climb don't matter so much; the objects we long to possess seem utterly trivial. What really matters in the end is that special look that you share with your spouse, the arms of your child reaching up to you, the quiet comfort of being with a friend who stands by your side in a difficult time."

Selah people' and friends today, I pray that your love continues to grow and build a solid foundation for your faith. I preach to myself as well as this week I have been moved by God's word preached by might men of God and through the selfless acts of those attending revival. I hear the words "Love your enemy" repeating in my head as I face each challenge and adversity today in my daily tasks. I pray that like me that through your connection with the Father, you are strengthened in all of your relationships as you move forward into the life of blessing He has for you! May we count it all joy as we grow together in Christ Jesus...and all God's people said "AMEN!"

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for loving me and transforming me into Your image. I invite You to search my heart and mind today. Help me to keep Your plans and purposes first and to love others the way You love me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 19, 2010 ~ Agreeing with God

Let us be in agreement with our maker!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?"

Amos 3:3

Are you going through a difficult time today? We all experience setbacks and obstacles in this life, but don't make the mistake of allowing those challenges to change your perspective. You can't go around thinking that those problems are insurmountable because negative thinking will keep you in bondage.

Did you know that when you're negative, you're in agreement with the enemy? But when you have a positive attitude according to what the Word says, then you're in agreement with God. You and God are a majority.

When you agree with God, all things are possible.

Selah people' and friends today, instead of going around thinking about your problems, cast down those thoughts and start dwelling on the fact that Almighty God, the Creator of the universe is on your side. Declare today that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Declare that He is fighting your battles. Declare that victory is on its way. Get into agreement with God and pave the way for His supernatural blessing in your life.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for Your truth that sets me free. I choose to submit my thoughts to You and come into agreement with Your Word. Help me to keep my mind stayed on You and Your victory no matter what may come my way. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 18, 2010 ~ Renew Your Mind Daily

Give up the burdens on you mind and spirit
and begin each day with a fresh start!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ"

2 Corinthians 10:5

TODAY'S WORD:
So many people today are not really enjoying their lives because of the condition of their minds. They constantly dwell on negative, destructive, harmful thoughts. They don't realize it, but the root cause of many of their problems is simply the fact that their thought life is out of control. They just dwell on any thought that comes.

More than ever, we have to understand that our lives follow our thoughts.

If you think negative thoughts, then you're going to live a negative life. If you think discouraging, hopeless thoughts, can't-do-it thoughts, mediocre thoughts, then your life is going to go down that exact same pathway. That's why we have to take captive every thought and renew our minds with the Word of God on a daily basis.

Selah people' and friends I want to challenge you today to think about what you're thinking about. Don't let those self-defeating thoughts linger in your mind. Instead, speak God's promises over your life. Declare what He says about you. Take captive every thought and renew your mind daily. As you do, you'll be empowered to move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, today I choose to take captive every thought. I choose to renew my mind according to Your Word. Holy Spirit, thank You for being my teacher and helper. I invite You to direct me in the way that I should go. Help me fulfill my destiny. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 16th, 2010 ~ One Blessing after Another

The list grows long when it comes to God's many blessings He gives to us...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another"

John 1:16

God wants to pour out His blessing and favor upon you each and every day. It says in the Psalms that He daily loads us with benefits! So many people miss out on all that God has for them because they are weighted down by guilt and condemnation. But notice what today's verse tells us about where His blessings come from—the fullness of His grace.

God's grace is His unmerited favor.

Selah people' and friends that means we can't earn it. We can't work for it, and we can't change His mind about it. He pours out His blessing on us not because of what we do, but because of who He is. His blessings are based on His goodness, not ours.

Today, receive His grace. Receive His forgiveness. Let go of guilt and condemnation. Open your heart and mind to what God wants to do in your life and get ready because He is pouring out His goodness upon you with one blessing after another!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, I choose to receive Your grace today which is Your supernatural empowerment. I release guilt and condemnation and receive Your love and forgiveness. Search my heart, O God. Renew me and cleanse me by Your Word. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 15, 2010 ~ Grace for Today

Each morning as we make our way to work God lays out for
us a new day and an new beginning. A fresh start in so many ways.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"Give us this day our daily bread…"

Matthew 6:11

God has grace in store for you every single day. Grace is His supernatural empowerment, His unmerited favor on your life. All throughout scripture, we see God giving daily grace, empowerment and provision to His people. For example, when the people of Israel were in the wilderness headed toward the Promised Land, God gave them manna each morning to eat. It would just appear on the ground. But, He specifically instructed them to gather up only enough for one day's supply. In fact, if they got more than that, it wouldn't last. It would spoil. They were learning to trust God's grace every single day.

In the same way, God doesn't give us grace for a year at a time or even a month at a time. No, every 24 hours God has a fresh, new supply of grace, favor, wisdom and forgiveness.

Selah people' and friends how are you going to make it through the seasons of your life? One day at a time. Look for His grace today. Look for His provision today. Look for His hand of favor and blessing today because He promises to supply everything you need for today.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for Your grace and favor on my life today. I know that You have a fresh supply of everything that I need—physically, spiritually and emotionally—today. Help me to trust You more as I seek Your face. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 13, 2010 ~ The Path of the Righteous...

If your path seems dark keep moving forward...toward the light of God.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day"

Proverbs 4:18

TODAY'S WORD:

Are you facing a situation that seems dark today? As a believer, God promises that your path will shine brighter and brighter as you seek His truth and righteousness in every situation in your life.

How do you seek righteousness? Righteousness is simply being in right standing with God. When you submit your life to Him and choose to obey His commands, you are seeking His righteousness, and you are on the path of the righteous! Just like today's verse says, the light of God's Word will shine brighter and brighter and will guide you in every decision you have to make.

Today, take time to ask the Lord to shine His light on you.

Selah people' and friends ask Him to confirm His plan for you. When you make His Word a priority in your life, you will experience more of His blessings. You'll see those brighter days as you move forward in the good plan He has in store for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, I know that You have a wonderful plan and purpose for me. I desire to be in right standing with You. Show me Your ways and teach me to walk righteously before You. Shine Your light in my heart and give me strength to pursue the path You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Don't get tripped up...seek God for all your strength!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your loving kindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress"

Psalm 59:16

Everyone goes through situations and circumstances in life that can cause distress, worry or anxiety. The key to overcoming these situations is exactly what David did in today's verse. Even though David's very life was at stake, He knew that His source of strength and victory was in His worship. He knew that He would find refuge during the day of distress as He sang praises to the Most High God.

No matter what you're facing in life today, realize that there's no better place for you to be than in the presence of Almighty God.

Selah people' and friends everything you need is found in Him. When you begin to worship Him, when you call upon His name, He promises to be near you. And when God shows up on the scene, the enemy must flee! Today, if you've been fighting discouragement, worry or anxiety, cast those cares on the Lord. Come into His presence with singing and enter His courts with praise. Let Him be a refuge for you and give you the strength you need to overcome every obstacle in Jesus' name!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You today. I declare that You are good and faithful. I will sing of Your love and mercy. Fill me with Your strength and joy as I worship You. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Patrick

August 10, 2010 ~ In the Morning

We are blessed with a fresh start each day...give it to God!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation"

Psalm 5:3

In the Bible, David was called a man after God's own heart. He knew God and saw incredible miracles throughout his life. But notice in this verse what David did. He set the tone for His whole day by spending time with the Lord every morning. It didn't matter what was going on his life, David had his priorities set. Even though he was mistreated by his family, manipulated, made fun of, hunted down by King Saul, and even made some major mistakes on his own,

David realized that each morning held the promise of new hope.

Selah people' and friends just like David, if you'll make spending time with God a priority in your life, you will see Him move mightily on your behalf. Make it a habit to seek Him first every single day. No matter what is happening, seek Him in the morning. Let Him set the tone for your day and set you on the course for victory in every area of your life!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, I choose to put You first in everything that I do. I choose to set the tone of my day by starting it with You. Draw me close to You and empower me by Your Spirit to fulfill the dreams and destiny that You have placed within me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 9, 2010 ~ New Every Morning...

Be thankful for the compassion of our Lord...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"…His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness"

James 3:10

Is there something that you've done in your past that you're not particularly happy about? A choice that you regret? The good news today is that you can be free of guilt and condemnation. You don't have to live with that burden any longer.

Today's verse tells us that God's mercies are new every morning. He's not ever going to run out of compassion. He's not ever going to run out of forgiveness. He's not ever going to say, "Well, this is the last time I'm going to give you mercy."

No, you can have a new beginning every single day!

Selah people' and friends let that truth sink down deep into your heart right now. If there is anything from the past that you may still be carrying, take a moment and call on His faithfulness. Call on His mercy. Ask for His forgiveness. Let Him refresh and restore your soul right now. Praise Him and thank Him for the work He is doing in your life and enjoy a fresh new beginning today!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Heavenly Father, today I choose to let go of every single weight from the past. I call on Your mercy; I call on Your grace. Thank You for hearing me and delivering me. I receive Your love and forgiveness today. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Your brother in Christ,

Patrick

August 7th, 2010 ~ Oops, I Guess that was a Bad Idea !

Are we giving God all the honor He deserves?

Today's Scripture:

But God struck down some of the men of Beth Shemesh, putting seventy of them to death because they had looked into the ark of the LORD. The people mourned because of the heavy blow the LORD had dealt them, and the men of Beth Shemesh asked, “Who can stand in the presence of the LORD, this holy God?

1 Samuel 6:19-20

God is Holy

The Philistines discovered that the Ark brought them terrible luck. They kept moving it around from town to town because everywhere they put it the people got sick. It was a real disaster. So, they decided to just send it back to Israel. They put it on a cart drawn by some cows whose calves were kept in the barn. Their thinking was that if the cows headed for Israel instead of back to their calves, it had to be a good omen. It worked. Those cows headed straight toward the border of Israel.

When the Ark entered Israeli territory, the Jewish religious leaders, took it off the cart and set it in a field. All was going well until some Jewish men decided to take a look inside. It was the last thing they ever did! God struck them down dead.

You might wonder why just looking into this golden box was such a big deal that the men had to die. The people of Beth Shemesh knew exactly why their fellow-citizens had died. It was because they didn’t take God’s holiness and honor seriously. They treated the Ark as a curiosity. They didn’t realize how important the Ark was as a symbol of God’s presence.

The men of Beth Shemesh died because they didn’t honor God as they should have. They treated the Ark of his Covenant, the place where he had promised to dwell, like a display in a museum. Sometimes we treat God that way, too. We say, “Oh God,” to express mild surprise. We may watch movies that make God out to be some sort of bumbling goof-off. Even more importantly, we often ignore him completely for days at a time.

If we could define God with one word it would be “holy.” All of his other characteristics are controlled by his holiness. God could have chosen to be bad instead of good. He could have been demanding and mean like some of the Greek gods and goddesses portrayed in movies and myths. He could have been selfish and arrogant. But, God decided to be perfect in every way. Imagine how awful it would be if God wasn’t good all the time. What would happen to us if one day he decided “to have an attitude?” We’d never know what he was going to do.

Because of his holiness, we can totally trust him with every part of our lives, knowing that he will always do what is best for us.

Selah people' and friends God is important. He loves us more than we can ever imagine. He is powerful and jealous for first place in our hearts. He is also holy. Perhaps we can learn a lesson from the men of Beth Shemesh so we treat God the way he deserves to be treated, with honor and respect.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Holy Father, I confess that I often don’t treat you the way you deserve to be treated. I listen to jokes that don’t honor you. I use your name in wrong ways. Please forgive me. Also, please teach me how to respect and worship you as you deserve. Amen."

August 5, 2010 ~ The Fruit of Our Words

What do you put out for others?

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"I create the fruit of the lips…"

Isaiah 57:19

Did you know that your words are like seeds? They have creative power. In the future, we will eat the fruit of our words.

That's why it's so important to make positive declarations over our lives every single day. We should say things like "I am blessed. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am talented. I am creative. I am wise." When we do this, we are standing in agreement with God's Word. We are sowing good seed. We are preparing our future for when we arrive.

Selah people' and friends today, make sure you are sowing good seed with your words. Speak God's Word which is truth that will set you free. Let His Word fill your heart and mind and direct That means our words are going to produce exactly what we're saying.
your mouth with what to say.

Set yourself up for success in your future and pave the way for victory with your words today!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for Your Word which is truth that sets me free. Help me to guard my words and sow good seed into my future. I choose to hide Your Word in my heart. Keep me close to You and direct my steps. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 4, 2010 - Chosen...

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world…"

Ephesians 1:4

God chose you before the foundations of the earth. Before the worlds were ever formed, He knew you. And, He didn't create you to be average. He didn't create you to barely get by. No, He created you to excel! Not only has He chosen you, but He has equipped you with everything you need to live His abundant life. He has deposited seeds of greatness inside every person. But in order to tap into those seeds of greatness, you have to believe this and act on it.

Selah People' and friends too many people today are going around with low self-esteem, feeling inferior like they don't have what it takes. They are living a lie. And as long as we have a poor self-image, we're not has called us to be, we have to see ourselves as chosen, valuable and victorious.

Today, meditate on this truth. Let it sink down deep into your heart. Let it build confidence and security in you.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father God, thank You for choosing me. Thank You for equipping me. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Show me Your ways that I may walk with You in confidence and trust all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

August 2nd, 2010 ~ Make Right Connections

Where or who do you connect with???

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

"A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother"

Proverbs 18:24

Do you know how important it is to be connected to the right people? Your destiny is too big to accomplish on your own. But God has already arranged for certain people to speak faith into you. He has already placed in your path people who will inspire you, challenge you and help you accomplish your dreams. But the reason some people never reach their highest potential is because they never get away from the wrong people.

Selah people' and friends recognize today that not everyone can go where God is taking you.

You've got to connect with people who understand your destiny and can call forth your seeds of greatness. You don't have time to spend on people who are always pushing you down, telling you what you can't do, or never giving you their approval no matter how hard you try. Friend, life is too short to drag people along. If you will get the wrong people out of your life, then God will bring in the right people so you can fulfill the destiny He has in store for you.

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

"Father in heaven, thank You for placing the right people in my life. Help me to discern the right connections You have for me. Give me strength to release the wrong relationships so I have room in my life for the people You have chosen to connect with me. In Jesus' Name. Amen."
